

If you want to adjust how your image has been cropped once it is inside the frame, double click on the image. Notice that once you have dragged your image on top of your frame, Canva will automatically format it to fit. Find the image you want to your then drag it to your frame. To add an image to your frame click on either “Uploads” or “Photos” in the vertical grey bar on the left side of your screen. Then scroll down to frames and click “See All.” To add a frame to your document, click the frame you want to use one time.

To add an image frame to your document, click the “Elements” button the vertical grey bar on the left. Image frames allow you to crop your image into unique shapes like a circle, rectangle, or even the shape of common technology like a computer or a phone. Click the image you want to use one time and Canva will place it in the center of your page. To add a new image click on either “Uploads” or “Photos” in the vertical grey bar on the left side of your screen. To delete an image click on it one time then press the delete key on your keyboard. To unlock an image, click on it one time then click the unlock button in the top right corner of your screen. You can tell that an image is locked if a small lock icon appears in the bottom right corner of the image when you click on it. If you are unable to select the image it is likely locked.

In the drop-down menu that appears check off “Free” under “Availability.” This will remove all paid or pro images and only show photos that are free for you to use. If you prefer to use only free stock photos, click the settings button in the search bar at the top.

These are pro images and to use them you either need to pay a small fee for a license to use their photo or upgrade to a paid Canva account. Notice that some photos say “Pro” and have a small crown icon in the bottom right corner. Click the “Photos” button that appears in this bar. On the left side of your screen notice a dark grey vertical bar that runs the entire height of your web browser. Now you can view or use any photo you have previously uploaded or click the “Upload an Image or Video” button to upload your own photo. Click the “Uploads” button that appears in this bar.
